Hopefully, your passport isn’t one of these.
“On Wednesday, May 7, Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) announced that they have discovered defects on a batch of electronic passports that have already been authorized holders,” reports Sara Susanne D. Fabunan in Manila Standard Today.
Take note: Passports with series EB0000001 to EB1267350 must be replaced because they will be rejected at ports of entry abroad.
“This serves as a warning to all passport holders with the EB series issued starting 2010,” Seguis said.
The report said that the defective passports will be reprocessed at the Office of Consular Affairs (DFA-Aseana) in Macapagal, Avenue, Parañaque City; or regional branches outside the National Capital Region.
