Pasay tarpaulin factory burns down

The good thing is there were no casualties reported.

“At around 5am on Saturday, Feb 8, fire razed a factory of tarpaulin in Barangay 75, Pasay City,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

According to the report, the fire started at the second floor of the Limkaco Industry building, which is owned by Gary Lim and located along Ignacio Street, Park Avenue. Witnesses said they also heard an explosion inside the building during the incident.

The fire, which reached the fourth alarm before it was put out by firefighters, destroyed an estimated PHP5 million worth of tarpaulin and paint.

Initial investigation showed that the blaze was caused by faulty electrical wiring.
