This is one of those times when a person’s mistake works in his favor.
President-elect Paolo Duterte’s son, Davao City vice mayor Paolo “Pulong” Duterte just shared on his Facebook page that he was apprehended by a traffic cop for overspeeding.

Paolo posted the Temporary Operator’s Permit (TOP) from the Land Transportation Office (LTO) issued to him after he was nabbed for exceeding the maximum speed limit implemented in the city, which is 40 kilometers per hour (kph).
Paolo revealed in his post that he had been driving at a speed of 57 kph. He also indicated in one of this replies to his FB followers that it was his first time to be apprehended for overspeeding.
So, what was his reason for overspeeding? Paolo revealed that he had been rushing to go home because his wife had already been angry at him. He said he could endure the traffic citation just because he was afraid of his wife being mad at him.
A Philippine Daily Inquirer report added that Paolo’s sister, Sara Duterte, who is set to step in as Davao City mayor, was also caught overspeeding back in 2014. She, too, owned up to her mistake and gracefully received the traffic citation issued to her.
