The typhoon being monitored by state weather bureau PAGASA over the Pacific Ocean is no longer expected to enter the Philippines.

Speaking to radio dzMM on Saturday, PAGASA weather forecaster Glaiza Escullar said Typhoon Dolphin (international name) will no longer enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

“Tuloy-tuloy na po ang pag-recurve nito at wala na pong inaasahang epekto sa bansa sa susunod na mga araw,” Escullar said.

Dolphin was in the vicinity of Guam Saturday morning. It was packing maximum sustained winds of 177 kilometers per hour (kph).
