PAGASA spots potential cyclone

Before you panic, please note that the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) says there is a high chance that the potential cyclone will not enter the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR).

Then again, that doesn’t mean we should let down our guard completely.

“PAGASA weather forecaster Gener Quitlong told dzMM the potential cyclone was located 2,600 kilometers off the Philippines,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted: “The potential cyclone was packing maximum sustained winds of 18 to 42 kilometers per hour (kph) and was moving north-northwestward at 18.5 kph.”
