PAGASA says expect rain

It could turn out to be a wet weekend.

“Skies will remain mostly cloudy with occasional rain showers in Luzon and the Visayas due to the lingering southwest monsoon, a situation likely to remain with two low-pressure areas spotted off northern Luzon and eastern Mindanao, although still outside the Philippine area of responsibility,” reports Jaime Sinapit on InterAksyon.com.

Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) weather forecaster Manny Mendoza said “the LPA off Mindanao could enter the PAR within the next 24 to 48 hours, but it is unlikely to develop into a cyclone once it does.”

PAGASA likewise announced, “Metro Manila, the regions of Ilocos, Mimaropa, Calabarzon, Western Visayas, and the provinces of Bataan and Zambales will experience occasional rains. Mindanao will have cloudy skies with light to moderate rain showers and thunderstorms. The rest of the country will be partly cloudy to cloudy with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.”
