Want to get hitched next month at minimal cost?
The Home Development Mutual Fund (HMDF)—which is more popularly known as Pagtutulungan sa Kinabukasan: Ikaw, Bangko, Industriya at Gobyerno (Pag-IBIG)—is inviting couples who are planning to get married but have no money to do so to sign up for its mass wedding program on Valentine’s Day.
“Vice President Jejomar C. Binay, who is the chairman of the Pag-BIG Board of Trustees, said the state-run agency will grant discounts to ‘early-bird registrants,'” reports JC Bello Ruiz in the Manila Bulletin.
Further intensifying the cheese factor (not that anyone’s complaining), the event is dubbed as “I do, I do! Araw ng Pag-IBIG.” It’s done in partnership with local government units. The newlyweds will also get a Pag-IBIg lecture on saving up for homes. *Not a bad deal, right?
