Let’s hope his planned visit helps boost Mary Jane Veloso’s morale.
“Boxing idol Manny Pacquiao told reporters that he is planning to go to Indonesia as early as Monday (May 4) — or two days after his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. — to visit Veloso, whose execution was temporarily delayed at the last minute,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.
The report noted: “Pacquiao said he is planning to talk to Veloso and Indonesian government officials. He explained he will speak to President Noynoy Aquino about the visit since he intends for it to be an official, state-sanctioned visit where he will make an official appeal.”
Pacquiao went on to offer prayer messages and support to Veloso and her family.
It may be recalled that Pacquiao — who is in the United States for his May 2 fight against Mayweather at the MGM Garden Arena — earlier made a televised appeal to Indonesian President Joko Widodo.
