Vice President Leni Robredo shared her worries about legal fees in her upcoming legal battle with vice presidential aspirant Ferdinand ‘Bongbong’ Marcos, who filed a case against her at the Supreme Court and the Presidential Electoral Tribunal.
And yes, you read that right: Robredo is more worried about the legal fees rather than the merits of the case filed against her.
But worry not, here comes Macalintal to save the day.
“Sabi ko naman kay VP, no problem sa attorney’s fees. With or without fees, nakahanda kaming ipagtanggol ang mga botong ipinagkatiwala sa kanya ng taong bayan. Hindi kami nag-uusap sa attorney’s fees kasi pareho naman kaming abugado,” said Macalintal in a Philippine Star report.
(I told the VP, no problem with the attorney’s fees. With or without fees, we are ready to defend the votes entrusted to her by the people. We don’t talk about attorney’s fees because we’re both lawyers.)
