Ooops: Fierce Inday Sara clarifies that she is not a recording artist

Inday Sara Duterte clearly got her father’s brand of humor, and she’s also got his fierceness to match.

The presidential daughter and newly-elected Davao City mayor caused a stir on social media after she uploaded a photo of herself in a recording studio yesterday, Jul 15.

“Recording my first solo album at Colang Recording Studio with my Phelps Dodge boss Ma’am Mercy. Please support my first single Walang Forever,” she wrote on the caption.

When asked about the title of her upcoming album, Mayor Duterte said that it will be labeled “Change is Forever.”

Journalists and keyboard warriors took note of Inday Sara’s post. The news appeared on major news sites.

More importantly, it received negative comments from bashers on social media.

(“WTF! Please work, mayor. 600 thousand people voted for you. You immediately took a leave instead of working. We cannot entrust the affairs of the city to your incompetent brother. We have so many problems that need quick solutions. Please work!”)

Mayor Duterte is currently on leave, with her brother vice mayor Paolo Duterte serving as acting mayor of Davao City.

Later that afternoon, however, Inday Sara clarified that she was just joking around.

The post was her spin on the video of Herbert Colangco’s concert in Bilibid prison, which recently went viral on social media.

“It’s a joke. It was a Bilibid prisoner recording joke. Please do not take me seriously,” she captioned her next photo.

She also took time to respond to her basher above.

“WTF yourself. Learn to understand a joke and social media. I took a leave because I don’t want to do my personal work on days when I am being paid by the government. You are an incompetent commenter. You’re life is Facebook. Go work!”

If there is anyone in the Duterte family who is inclined to record an album, it must be Inday Sara’s youngest brother, Baste Duterte who already won hearts in a viral videoke video.

President Rodrigo Duterte’s raised eyebrows after joking about rape and Viagra.

While not everyone is a fan of the Duterte humor, it’s something that most Davaoeños have learned to appreciate. Perhaps the rest of the country will soon learn how to understand it too. After all, we’ll live with it for the next six years.
