One FC is Asia’s largest mixed martial arts and on Dec 6, it flexes its muscles and shows why. The two undercard bouts of the night, dubbed the ONE FC Moment of Truth, have been set and it looks like blood and brotherhood will come through for one of the undercard bouts. In the much-anticipated rematch against Cambodia’s Khim Dima, Ruel Catalan will take the place of his brother Rene, who in October, suffered multiple illegal blows against Dima. Ruel, who is a Wushu world champion, is set to avenge his brother this time around.
In the other bout, Filipino prospect Edward Kelly will make his debut, showcasing why he is the current favorite by going up against Major Overall, who 1) is BJJ purple belter and 2) likes to finish his opponents by submission. Fans will recall his rear-naked choke victory against ONE FC Malaysian Featherweight Champ AJ Lias Mansor.
Exciting already, to think these are just the undercards. The main event will feature the Philippines’ first MMA World Champion Honorio Banario going up against the current ONE FC Featherweight World Champion Koji Oishi, who actually defeated Banario and took his belt.
