Ombudsman says there’s enough evidence vs. Bong, Jinggoy, and JPE

That’s great to hear, but will they be nabbed just like all other alleged offenders?

“Ombudsman Conchita Carpio-Morales is currently in the U.S., on a study tour on the invitation of US Ambassador to the Philippines Philip Goldberg,” reports ABS-CBN News North America Bureau correspondent Don Tagala.

Carpio-Morales recently attended a townhall meeting in New York, where members of the Filipino community asked about the pork barrel scam. They wanted to know about the fates of Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Bong Revilla, and Jinggoy Estrada.

The townhall meeting moderator asked her, “Does the Office of the Ombudsman have enough evidence to secure the conviction of the three senators?”

Carpio-Morales answered: “That’s supposed to be confidential. But, but, given the fact that the Ombudsman has already come up with a resolution that there’s probable cause, we believe that the crimes were committed, that the respondents are probably guilty. We have enough evidence.”

The crowd reportedly applauded.
