Ombudsman dismisses graft case vs. Gloria Arroyo

This isn’t going to make PNoy happy.

“The Ombudsman has junked the graft complaint against former president and current Pampanga Representative Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo in connection with the PHP728-million fertilizer fund scam,” reports ANC.

According to the Ombudsman, there was “no probable cause to file charges against Arroyo due to lack of evidence.”

She had been accused of using government funds meant to help farmers for her 2004 election expenses.

In any case, Arroyo remains at the Veteran’s Memorial Medical Center (VMMC) for her alleged involvement in the PHP366-million Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) scam.
