Weightlifter Hidilyn Diaz has officially received her new home in Clark, Pampanga from housing company Deca Homes 8990, which promised her a reward for her accomplishment in the recent Rio Olympics.
To make the prize even sweeter for the silver medalist, the home is located on a street named after her.
The chiseled 25-year-old athlete broke the country’s 20-year Olympics jinx after winning the silver medal in the 53-kg division of weightlifting.

Hidilyn’s medal came with perks and rewards. She received PHP5 million from the government as required by law, with an additional PHP2 million from President Rodrigo Duterte himself. Politician-athlete Sen. Manny Pacquiao also gave her an undisclosed amount.
Budget airline company AirAsia also gave Diaz and other Olympic silver medalists from ASEAN member nations free flights for five years.
