We never think that vacations could be lethal.
“On Friday morning, May 9, Diosdado Villegas, 51, an overseas Filipino worker (OFW) on vacation was shot dead in Sampaloc, Manila,” reports dzMM correspondent Noel Alamar on ABS-CBNnews.com.
According to Witnesses, Villegas had been watering his plants in front of his house along Leyte Street in Balic-Balic when a gunman on a motorcycle shot him. The witnesses took note of the suspect’s license plate numbers and have informed the police about it.
Villegas was pronounced dead on arrival at the University of the East Ramon Magsaysay (UERM) Memorial Medical Center after he was shot by motorcycle-riding suspects. He was supposed to go back tomorrow to Hawaii on Saturday, May 10.
The report noted: “Villegas’ wife, Aurora, said she has no idea who could be behind the killing, saying her husband only arrived in Manila last April 10 for a vacation.”
