October 6 is a holiday in the Philippines

The unexpected gift of a long weekend is priceless.

“On Tuesday, September 16, Malacañang declared October 6, a Monday, a regular holiday in observance of Eid’l Adha or the Feast of Sacrifices,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

The report noted that Eid’l Adha “marks the end of the Hajj or the pilgrimage to Mecca.”
