The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) has arrested a 25-year-old registered nurse for swindling PHP1.3 million from a friend and her sibling.
She had guaranteed them entry and work in Manitoba, Canada.The suspect, Shariah Jaya Fetalsana was arrested in an entrapment operation.
She was set to meet her friend, the complainant, Jineli Shamae Bagni from whom she was asking an additional $3,000.
Bagni sought the help of the NBI after Fetalsana failed to give any receipt or documentation about the papers she filed at the Canadian Embassy on her behalf, the Philippine Star reported.
