September Paz — a 23-year-old nurse who worked at St. Luke’s Medical Center in Quezon City — was found bloodied and dead inside the room she was renting on the 2nd floor of a house along Doña Juana Rodriguez Street in Barangay Kristong Hari. St. Luke’s is actually just a few blocks away from Barangay Kristong Hari.
Quezon City Police District police investigator PO2 Louie Serbito told GMA News that they received a call at about 6:15am last Sat, Aug 20, informing them about Paz’s death.
According to Paz’s roommate, who is also a St. Luke’s nurse, she left their place sometime before 8pm for her night duty. Paz, who was from Ilocos Norte, worked on a day shift. As such, she was usually alone in the rented room at night.
Other occupants of the house reportedly heard somebody shout at around 3am.
The scene of the crime operation (SOCO) report showed that the victim’s body was riddled with stab wounds from a still-undetermined sharp object. Investigators likewise noted that four jalousie panes had been taken out of the window in Paz’s rented room.
The police and barangay officials are now studying CCTV footage to get leads on who may have brutally murdered Paz.
A GMA News Online report says the authorities are checking out CCTV footage showing a group of men entering and later exiting the area.
