Nun gets back money she lost at NAIA almost one year ago

Now, this is a divine little story.

“Sister Mary Emelia Lamunda lost her wallet containing the cash at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) on April,9, 2013,” reports Ariel Fernandez on GMA News Online.

The report revealed that a janitress found the wallet and surrendered it to the airport’s Lost and Found Unit. The wallet and its contents were kept in a vault until the owner was traced.

On Tuesday, Mar 11, Sister Mary was reunited with her wallet, which happened to contain PHP39,000 in cash. Airport police officer Renon Flores was tasked to turn over the wallet to her.

Unfortunately, the report didn’t reveal the name of the janitress who found the wallet. It also didn’t explain why it took the nun so long to come back for the wallet.
