NPA leader arrested in Pasig

Was his tactic to hide in plain sight?

“On Tuesday, May 6, Combined elements from the Philippine Army’s 42nd Infantry Battalion and Criminal Investigation and Detection Group arrested Sandy Malaca, A ranking leader of the New People’s Army (NPA), in Barangay Pinagbuhatan, Pasig,” reports dzMM correspondent Edwin Sevidal on ABS-CBNnews.com.

It turns out that Malaca is known as Kumander Jamai of the Larangan 2 of Komite Probensya Camarines Sur of the Bicol Regional Party Committee of the Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP). He was arrested for a double murder charge.

Malaca is said to be allegedly involved in the killing of two soldiers in Camarines Sur back in 2007.
