We know how hard it is to resist a cinematic moment, but people in areas ravaged by super typhoon Yolanda need to exercise restraint.
Police officers assigned to typhoon-stricken areas in the Visayas have been warned against taking selfies.
“I think that’s being insensitive. People there are suffering from the effects of the typhoon, losing home and loved ones, yet, here they are posing for pictures as if it is something enjoyable,” says Police Director Lina Sarmiento.
Those found to be in violation of the memo could face administrative sanctions.
