No public drinking allowed during Tondo’s Feast of the Sto. Niño

In a predominantly Catholic country, there’s always bound to be some holy feast or another somewhere.

“After celebrating the Feast of the Black Nazarene, residents of Tondo are set to celebrate the Feast of the Santo Niño this coming January 19,” reports ABS-CBNnews.com.

To make sure the event remains orderly, Manila Police District spokesman Erwin Margarejo said they will “strictly implement a local ordinance that bans public drinking on the eve of the feast.”

The police have likewise started consultations with the Sto. Niño de Tondo Parochial Church about the route of the procession.
