Manila’s Quezon Boulevard is now a “park at your own risk” zone.
According to Manila Bulletin, Manila mayor Joseph Estrada has declared that “any illegally parked vehicles on the area would be immediately towed away, no questions asked.”
Dennis Alcoreza, chief of the Manila Traffic and Parking Bureau, has formed Task Force Quezon Boulevard to go after motorists who park along the roadway.
“Once you’re spotted, we will immediately tow away your vehicle. That’s the way it is,” Alcoreza said.
The MTPB will also go after people running scams such as those who reportedly “illegally collect parking fees.”
