Global athletic and apparel brand NIKE has pulled out their “Boston Masssacre” shirt line following the bloody bombing incident at the Boston Marathon last week.
According to a Manila Bulletin report, the shirt, which features blood spatter on the word “BOSTON” originally targeted New York Yankees fans. The Boston Massacre was a term coined in the 1978 Worlds Series baseball championships where the Yankees mercilessly beat their opponents, the Boston Red Sox.
Given the recent turn of events, NIKE has decided to pull out this T-shirt design from all their shops. We commend them for this gesture.
