Nigerian caught with P24 million worth of shabu charged

A Nigerian intercepted at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport with P24 million worth of shabu last month has been charged at the Department of Justice.

The Nigerian, identified as Sunday Michael Owoborode, was caught in April with three kilograms of shabu as he arrived from Bangkok, Thailand, Malaya Business Insight reports.

Owoborode, whom Customs commissioner Ruffino Biazon says is a member of an international drug syndicate, tried to smuggle in the drugs in carbon paper packages wrapped in duct tape.
