Thanks to a joint operation by the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) and the Quezon City Department of Public Order and safety, several Quezon City roads and footbridges are now vendor-free.
The clearing operations took place yesterday in Cubao, Nepa Q-Mart, East Avenue, Philcoa, Luzon Avenue, and Muñoz Market.
According to ABS-CBN News, the vendors were permitted to sell their products last Christmas but they could only do so until Jan. 6.
It’s nice to know that the vendors obeyed and left the areas without violence.
