Ortigas Avenue extension near Barangay Beverly Hills, Antipolo City was plunged into darkness on Sunday after a scrap metal truck carrying 25 tons of cargo rammed into four electric posts.
The City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council said the truck, with license plate number TUE 208, rammed into the Meralco electric posts at around 4:30 a.m. on Sunday.
ABS CBN News reported that the incident also caused widespread traffic jams since it took six hours before the posts could be cleared from the streets.
