What was supposed to be a fun outing turned into a tragedy when a 14-year-old sophomore drowned in a public pool in San Miguel, Manila.
Manila police identified the victim as Timothy John Borlain, a student of Victorino Mapa High School. Borlain was from Little Baguio Street, San Juan.
According to reports, the victim and his classmates went on an outing at the Student Club House pool on Abreu Street, San Miguel. At around 10:30 a.m. witnesses saw Borlain drowning at the deepest part of the pool. A lifeguard came to his rescue but failed to revive him.
