The Holy Week exodus hit some hitches for some passengers at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport on Tuesday, with 14 flights cancelled because of technical problems.
Passengers affected by the cancelled flights were booked on the next available flights and served snacks, the Philippine Star reports. “It’s automatic. They will be rebooked for the next available flights and their needs will have to be attended to by the airlines,” Consuelo Bungag of the Manila International Airport Authority said.
Zest Air flights to Busuanga and Masbate, and Cebu Pacific flights to Caticlan and to Hong Kong had to be cancelled. A Philippine Airlines flight to Honolulu, Hawaii was also cancelled.
