Quezon City police are looking at fielding Special Weapons and Tactics (SWAT) teams near malls and commercial establishments following the weekend SM Megamall heist and San Juan shooting on Monday.
GMA News reports that Quezon City Police District chief Senior Superintendent Richard Albano said that given their training, SWAT teams might help ward off criminal elements. Their quick response to emergency situations would also be helpful.
Additionally, Albano said installing X-ray machines at malls would also help security personnel protect their customers.
