Two suspected taxi thieves were killed in a shootout with police at Commonwealth Avenue, North Fairview, Quezon City last Saturday.
One of the suspects was shot inside the taxi they were trying to rob (Vios taxi with plate number UWA-146), while the other was killed in pursuit.
A police team was in the area as the robbery was taking place. The robbers shot back when police tried to apprehend them, GMA News reported.
