Students getting tired of Lim vs Estrada word wars

UP Manila students were disappointed over the continued mudslinging and “historical” debates between Manila Mayor Alfredo Lim and former President Joseph Estrada, who are both gunning for the Mayoral seat this coming May elections.

An Inquirer News report said UP Manila students were disappointed that the two candidates failed to address pressing issues and problems in the city and instead focused on dissing each other in front of a live audience.

The candidates were asked about their strategies in solving problems that affecting the students: perennial flooding, the proliferation of illegal vendors and the rising criminality around their campus on Padre Faura Street. Neither of them however, were able to give concrete answers.

The political debate was sponsored by the UP Manila College of Arts & Sciences.
