Senators have voiced their opinion regarding the call for new gun control laws. Sen. Joker Arroyo said that what is needed is tougher implementation of the law. He also said that the gun control law already exists and it is up to the law enforcement authorities to implement it accordingly.
Sen. Tito Sotto called the calls for a gun ban a “knee jerk” reaction to the recent indiscriminate shooting in Cavite.
Meanwhile, Sen. Ramon Revilla Jr., who lives in Cavite, puts the blame solely on the police authorities for their slow response time during the shooting, Interaksyon.com reported.
