The Supreme Court has dismissed the claims of a doctor’s suit against a Makati City hotel after 17 years of appeals.
Inquirer News reported that Dr. Genevieve Huang had injured herself in the pool area in June 1995 and filed a P100 million suit against against Dusit Thani Hotel, its owners, and insurers in August 1996. The RTC had earlier ruled against Huang, citing “self-serving” testimony which was “devoid of credibility.”
According to the SC decision, the court had “examined the records, including the transcripts of stenographic notes, and found no reason to disturb the factual findings of both lower courts. This court, thus, upholds their conclusiveness.”
