Robbery suspect charged with money changer killing

The suspect in the killing of Marvin Sandiko, the owner of a money changer shop in Quezon City has been charged in court Thursday. Charlie Mamalayan, 27, is detained in Camp Karingal while awaiting arraignment. The suspect is also allegedly a member of a crime group operating in Southern Luzon and has also been linked to three prior robberies in Quezon City.

Mamalayan was arrested in Laguna last Dec. 21, 2012, a day after a robbery at the Suki Market in Barangay Sta. Teresita, of which he was involved along with three other men. They took P120,000 and wounded a security guard during the heist, Inquirer News reported.
