Quezon City has the most dengue cases in Metro Manila

Quezon City, with 242 cases, has the highest number of incidences of dengue fever in Metro Manila, according to the Department of Health’s Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit.

The DOH gathered the data from January 1 to March 2 and found 1,361 reported cases of Dengue in Metro Manila. “This is 64 percent lower compared to the same period last year at 3,736,” it said in a Sun Star Online report.

The DOH also found that dengue cases were clustered around certain areas in Metro Manila: “Pulang Lupa Uno in Las Pinas; East Rembo, and West Rembo in Makati; Plainview in Mandaluyong; Barangay 323, and Barangay 598 in Manila; Cupang in Muntinlupa; San Antonio, San Dionisio, and San Isidro in Parañaque; Barangay 183 in Pasay; Caniogan, and Pinagbuhatan in Pasig; Batasan Hills, Commonwealth, Holy Spirit, and Tatalon in Quezon City; and Gen. T. de Leon in Valenzuela.”

While Quezon City had the highest number of dengue cases, Pateros had the lowest at five. San Juan, with 19 cases, and Navotas, with 27, also had among the lowest number of reported cases.
