QCPD holds bomb workshop for mall guards

The Quezon City Police District recently held a workshop to teach private security guards detailed at commercial establishments how to identify bombs and other explosives.

According to an Inquirer report, the seminar was conducted by QCPD chief Senior Superintendent Richard Albano.

Held on Thursday and Friday, the seminar on bomb identification was aimed at helping security guards detect and intercept even improvised explosive devices or IEDs as well as other weapons.

The QCPD also taught the participants the proper protocols during such scenarios: Call for police assistance, cordon off areas, and evacuate people.
