The Quezon City government will be launching a massive information campaign on preventing and treating common summer diseases.
Mayor Herbert Bautista has ordered City Health Chief Dr. Antonietta Inumerable to head the information drive all over the city’s 142 barangays.
The Manila Bulletin reported that common summer diseases include heat stroke, respiratory tract infection, dehydration, gastroenteritis and sun damage.
Bautista said deaths and serious problems could be prevented if citizens knew what to look out for. He also instructed the city health department to make sure that health centers have adequate supplies of medicines.
