Thousands of passengers ended up stranded and traffic turned from bad to worse after the Light Rail Transit (LRT) Line 2 suffered an electrical overload on Saturday morning.
Hernando Cabrera, LRT Authority spokesman, said the problem stemmed from an overload of a power rectifier at the Santolan depot.
GMA news reported that it was past 8 am when operations resumed. By this time, thousands of students and commuters were already late for work.
