The Manila Police has confirmed that Jacinto de Guzman indeed killed his own children before taking his own life in Sta. Cruz, on Sunday.
Scene of the Crime Operatives reported that the 38-year-old died of silver cleaner poisoning while his son Jeramil, 17, had a fractured skull resulting from blunt force trauma.
The Philippine Star reported that the daughter, Jennifer, 16, died of strangulation and not from poisoning.
Investigators, however, have yet to determine what prompted de Guzman to kill his children and then drink silver cleaning solution afterwards.
