A man suspected of leading a robbery and car theft gang was arrested along with his companion by Pasig City police outside the city’s Hall of Justice on Thursday.
The Philippine Star reports Robert Joseph Paguia and Rodel Macalino were served warrants for robbery as they were leaving a hearing for charges of attempted homicide and the illegal possession of firearms. The warrants were served by a team of Pasig police led by Inspector Bat Sumulong.
Paguia has admitted to crimes attributed to his gang, Senior Superintendent Mario Rariza Jr, Pasig City police chief said.
The two, along with alleged gang members Mayo Cortiz, Mark Angelo Eneria, and Rodrigo Pito were arrested after a shootout with Eastern Police District SWAT on January 21, the report said.
