PNP Chief supports gun ban exemption for crime victims

The Movement for Restoration of Peace and Order (MRPO) asked the PNP for an exemption from the gun ban for kidnap victims, and PHP chief Director General Alan Purisima said that he would endorse the proposal to the Comelec.

MRPO founder, Teresita Ang-See said that she expects a higher incidence of crime due to the upcoming elections. She also mentioned that kidnap victims are at higher risk, as the police escorts of 10 members have been recalled, ABS CBN News reported.
