A 7-year-old boy died while his father remains in critical condition after their family of four rode a motorcycle in Pasig City that figured in an accident with a passenger jeepney.
Justin Formilles died in the accident while his father, his mother, and his 8-year-old brother were injured after their motorbike was rammed by a speeding jeep along Eastbank Road in Pasig City, the Manila Bulletin reports. Police are looking for the driver who reportedly fled the scene.
The report also notes “the couple wore helmets while their children, who were positioned between them, did not.”
The Motorcycle Helmet Act requires standard protective helmets for motorcycle riders and their passengers.
