A graduating student of the Philippine Science High School (PSHS) in Quezon City dropped dead at his graduation rehearsal on campus on Tuesday morning.
According to Inquirer News, Rodesto Michael Lacerna, 15, of section IV-Tau, suddenly collapsed while he and his batch mates were practicing for the graduation rites inside the school gymnasium.
Reports said the student was first brought to the school infirmary and then to the Philippine Children Medical Center. The boy however, was declared dead on arrival by attending physician Dr. Lea Mislang.
PSHS is a government-run school for gifted students who excel in math and the sciences. Only the brightest students from all over the Philippines can get in.
