Congrats to the Philippines for being named the “Most Romantic Destination” by Chinese newspaper Shanghai Morning Post. According to Manila Bulletin, this was based on a consumer survey. The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) said that there’s been an increase in Chinese visitors especially because it’s winter season in China and the week-long Chinese New Year holiday this February is fast approaching.
Other countries also received awards, such as Australia for “Best Tourist Destination for Discovery”, Switzerland for “Best Shopping Paradise”, Korea for “Best Skiing Destination”, and Germany for “Best Destination for Art Appreciation.”
