Pacquiao not ready to retire after two consecutive defeats

Upon his arrival in the country yesterday, People’s Champ Manny Pacquiao immediately announced that he is not yet retiring. This is after his very recent knock-out defeat to Mexican boxer Juan Manuel Marquez in Las Vegas, Nevada on Sunday, December 9.

Pacquiao assured his fans by saying that there will be other fights and that “we will rise again.”

He explained that he gave the fight his best but that accidents do happen in boxing. He is only thankful that he was not beaten up and was even ahead in the game before he fell.

Pacquiao was also surprised at the very hospitable welcome he received from fans upon his arrival at the airport. He expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support that has been given to him, saying that it felt like he “already won three times.”

From the airport, Pacquiao headed for Midas Hotel in Pasay City and then went home to Laguna with his wife, Jinkee for their son’s birthday celebration, the Philippine Star reported.
