The Manila Police District started their observance of Holy Week on Sunday by starting the annual “pabasa” at their headquarters at United Nations Avenue, Manila.
The “pabasa” is a Filipino tradition wherein Catholic devotees take turns in reading/singing the passion and death of Christ.
The start of the “pabasa” which is supposed to run until Good Friday, was headed by Senior Superintendent Joel Coronel, Manila Rep. Trisha Bonoan David, the Philippine Star reported.
