Quezon City has a project, according to Inquirer: to teach 100,000 public school preschoolers and elementary pupils basic hygienic practices like washing their hands and brushing their teeth.
Their budget: P2.5 million. This will cover basic health care sets that include a toothbrush, toothpaste, hand soap and a deworming tablet. The money will also be used for improving water and sanitation facilities.
The person to thank: Mayor Herbert Bautista. The implementation of this health care program was based on an ordinance that he signed in October last year.
