Now there’s an app for your medical emergency

The country now has its first mobile app specifically designed for hospitals.

Initially available on the Android platform, the Cardinal Santos Medical Center (CSMC) app “directly links patients to the hospital by providing a gateway where they can easily reach crucial healthcare services, such as the hospital’s emergency room,” according to Interaksyon.

With this app, there’s no need to memorize numbers to reach the hospital. For example, there is the “Call Emergency Room” which directly connects the patient to the ER call center so they can get important medical info or even request for an ambulance to be sent to their home. You can also directly connect to the hospital trunkline through the app, plus check their home services so you don’t need to go to the hospital just to find out.

In the future, the app shall be able to let you download hospital records and lab test results; and remind you of your next appointment with the doctor.
