It’s going to be a great party for QC residents and guests! The Quezon City government will be hosting its very first countdown to the New Year on Dec. 31 starting at 5 p.m. at the Liwasang Aurora inside the Quezon Memorial Circle on Elliptical Road.
Quezon City Mayor Herbert Bautista expects about 10,000 people to join the revelry. He added that the event aims to discourage residents from using firecrackers and just watch the fireworks display, which he says will last for 25 minutes, inside the Quezon City circle.
The Manila Standard Today reported that three giant projectors will be set up inside the QC Circle area to enable the people to see all the activities.
The initial list of performers includes Gloc 9, Shamrock, the Dvas Club, Anti-Gravity band, Kissy Babes, B-Boys, and Runway: Earth, Wind and Fire.
